G'day Kevin, Ive been conspicuous in my abscence
lately, what with various and assorted committments.
Progress on VH-XZY (now formally registered, but
no security lock just yet), is remaining slow but constant.
Thought I should send some updated piccies to put
on the site, so have attached 4 shots that may be useable.
Progress is just about at the final clsoe up
stage, with all fuselage electrics 99% completed.
Have tested most electrics, and things whir/things
go up and down, and lights blaze!!!, even panel red lights come on.......
No smoke seen to date.
Painter has started, and is calling out (crying
out), for fueslage.
We have had some hiccups re hangar, in that where
I am, is being taken over by a commercial operator, and our current presence
in one small corner of the hangar is coming to an end soon, so we are trying
to get finished asap.
Painter has set up in my carport at home(refer
attached picture), John McCutcheon is a well experienced aircraft painter, and
is treating this as probably his last job.
John has been ill on and off, and he has not been
able to spend the time on the RV as he would like, he is doing a mighty job in
the circumstances, working under cramped 'open air' conditions., but its
getting there.
Colour will be basic white top half,,,,basic blue
bottom half, and nice yellow to tips/elevators/rudder/yellow stripe down
side/yellow spinner etc.
I still have some bits to go before finally
closing up , but am looking to get going and ready for final, asap.(I know I
have been saying that for some time now?????)
Anyway, hope the attached is of some interest to
the site, I will need to have you take a look at me before too long, so you
can give me another report card.
All for now.
